WOULD YOU LIKE TO REDUCE YOUR AIR CONDITIONING COSTS?

ARE YOU EXPERIENCING "HOT SPOTS" IN YOUR HOME?

DO YOU HAVE EXCESSIVE HUMIDITY IN YOUR ATTIC?

Higher cooling bills in the summer along with "hot spots" may be the results of inadequate ventilation of your attic. On a sunny day when outside temperatures are in the 80s or 90s, it could reach 140 to 150 degrees in your attic. The heat radiating down from your ceiling causes your air conditioner to run overtime resulting in higher bills. The excess heat in your attic can also cause warm areas or "hot spots" in your home. This is especially a problem on upper floors. The solution may be as simple as installing a power vent attic fan in your home. The power vent is thermostatically controlled to turn on and expell the trapped hot air from your attic. A properly vented attic space will also add to the lifetime of your roof.
An overly humid attic space can cause damage to wood and insulation and is a direct cause of mold growth. You may experience unpleasant moldy or musty odors in your attic. Some power vent models feature both a thermostat and humidistat. The humidistat turns your fan on when it detects too much humidity in your attic (typically 65%). This will occur no matter what the temperature is since the thermostat and humidistat function independently from each other. This is especially useful during the colder months.

Once set to the factory specified temperature and humidity settings at installation, there's no need for you to do anything. Just sit back and let the hands free unit monitor the climate in your attic.

Electricians shouldn't be cutting into your roof and roofers shouldn't be making electrical connections.

We've partnered with a roofing contractor to install your fan correctly. Our roofing contractor will cut in and install your power vent attic fan. Burke Electric is a licensed electrical contractor and we will make all necessary electrical installations and connections. All work is performed the same morning and is covered under one invoice and one warranty. There's no need to hire multiple contractors or pay for multiple service calls. "Burke Electric was awesome. They contacted me right away and came on time for the scheduled estimate. They were flexible with our schedule in order to plan the date to complete the work and also showed up on time to install our attic fan. Tom was very personable and professional and the roofer that worked with him to install our attic fan was great too. It has taken us 2 years to find someone to install our attic fan and I really appreciate Burke Electric's follow up and excellent service. "

"Burke Electric came out to install my attic fan on a Saturday morning because it was convenient for me. Tom and Mike (his roofer) were here on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Both were professional and friendly. Mike the roofer took care of a leak that I've been trying to get my builder to fix for almost a year. Spotted the problem right away. I'd have them do work for me anytime. "
